1. What is your usual styling goal?

A person who rough-dries before air drying may value a light handle and simple controls. Someone who styles with a brush may care more about concentrator shape and balance. A diffuser matters if you regularly want to keep curl definition while drying. Choose for the routine you already perform, not an imaginary salon routine.

2. Can you control the heat and airflow?

A dryer with separate heat and speed settings gives you more ways to make drying comfortable. The American Academy of Dermatology advises limiting blow drying and using low or medium heat with heat protection. More power on a specification sheet does not remove the value of gentler technique.

3. How does it feel in your hand?

Weight, balance, switch placement, cord length, and noise affect every use. If you can try the tool, hold it in the positions you actually use. A compact travel body may be easy to pack but less comfortable to grip for a long styling session.

4. Will the attachments fit your routine?

Check which nozzles are included, how they attach, and whether replacements are available. A magnetic diffuser may be convenient; it is useful only if you need a diffuser. The last question is practical: where will you store it, and is the warranty easy to understand?
